Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:13 p.m. 2. Adoption of Agenda Gus Wruck moved adoption of the Agenda. Seconded by Marian Jones. Carried. 3. Adoption of the Minutes -Pat Dunlop moved adoption of the Minutes of May15th, 2007. Seconded by Rene Comeault. Carried. 4. Financial Report - Gary Dunlop moved adoption of the financial report presented. Seconded by Pat Dunlop. Carried. . Correspondence Received Loni Beach - Email received with copy of June 2007 newsletter. Free Press Invoice LWRC Environmental Award Charter for Cottage Owners - Email received and responded to asking Information request regarding community wells Water trucks - Problem with water delivery trucks when road restrictions are on. Medical officer is trying to have them included in the legislation. Dr. Hilderman leaving and going to the Province as Director of Disease Control. 6. Correspondence Sent State of Environment Report 7. Old Business a) Website - No progress. To be brought forward.. b) Water Stewardship Fund - Pat to send address to Dave. c) Cheque for $5,000 - Emailed Sarah Kipp - no response. Dave will email Clive Calloway. d) Funding - Dave attended RM of St. Clements meeting June 26th. Unanimous vote for funding. Selkirk Journal coverage. e) Conference Call June 25/07 - Proposal from the Navigator (government relations and status group). Our share of the cost would be about $2,000. "Where do we go from here? Ken to prepare a "Did you know" type of article for papers. 8. New Business AGM o Date - October 20, 2007 Dave to confirm with Place Louis Riel o Nomination Committee - Dave Crabb, Donna Jean Crabb to contact Dick Dawson o Guest Speaker - suggestions -- Adrien Batra, Hugh McFadyen, Don Rocan and Gary Doer 9. Directors' Reports Rene Comeault -There was 7 ½ in. rainfall in one night that tested drainage to the max. Rock and gravel was brought in for washouts. There haven't been any problems with ATV's this year. Donna Jean Crabb - Mice problems cleaned up. Mold clean up next door progressing. Gary Dunlop -AGM was held on July 7th. Reeve missed it but dropped in and apologized to the secretary who invited him to attend the picnic. The proposed commercial development at Sugar Point was turned down. There were 30 people who attended the meeting (filling the room). With the nice weather there has been an increase in watercraft. Marian Jones - First Nation approved development next to Auglen Park. Will be developing roads in late summer or early fall. Auglen Park has general meetings in spring and fall. Councillor attended. There is a fundraising for a community building. There are road problems due to rains - large sink holes and steep roads. A family fun day was held early in the year. Attendance as not large but silent auction - $800. Gus Wruck - RM of Lac du Bonnet Newsletter has begun. Also attended AGM of model forrest (Tembec member) at Patricia Beach Community Hall. Went on a walking tour west of 59, N of Gull Lake turn off. Community Foundation information was favourably received by RM and Town. Attend Wassahow by the Lee Cottage Owners AGM. Ken Corbett - New subdivision starting, new street installed. New lights and improvements. RM trimmed trees and walkways. There is no lagoon in RM of Sifton but a new one is being built. They are using Oak Lake's. Working on new low pressure system from cottages to lagoon. The dumpster is being moved out of site of main road. Lake is high due to rainfall. There is a new fish cleaning area. Gas pumps are closed and new ones opened. The golf course won't open this year but there should be an 18-hole by next year. 14000 sq. ft. building. There is dust control put down twice a year (June & August). The picnic was July 7th. They have a flea market planned. There is now a representative on the Oak Lake Management. One side of the lake is now completely fenced (hwy 83) and are working on the other side. Lots of co-operation from Sifton council. Pat Dunlop - Newsletters delivered. Approval has been received by the municipality for the beacon. Gary and Pat attended the Twin Lake Beaches AGM. Dave Crabb -. There has been policing of ATV this past weekend. The harbour has been busier than ever. There was a pig roast and potluck by one resident. 10. Date of Next Meeting - August 21st, 2007 11.
