Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 6:22 p.m. 2.Adoption of Agenda Daryll Hyslop moved adoption of the amended Agenda. Seconded by Bill Russell. Carried. 3.Adoption of the Minutes of the previous meeting of March 14th, 2006 Pat Dunlop moved adoption of the Minutes as read. Seconded by Daryll Hyslop. Carried. 4.Financial Report - Bill Russell Bill Russell advised that he put the $5,000 (for French translation) into the superior savings account. Bill moved adoption of the financial report. Seconded by Gary Dunlop. Carried. 5.Correspondence Sent 6.Correspondence Received • Email from North East Health Authority (NEHA) - They would like information regarding weekend clinics emailed to members or posted on the website. Moved by Gus Wruck and seconded by Jim Neufeld that we accommodate NEHA and any other organization we see fit. Carried. 7.Old Business a) Workshop Seminar Planning. - • Seminar was discussed. Most felt we missed the main point of our seminar. We learned a lot. Daryll Hyslop moved that we accept the invoice with an adjustment to $93.75 for training. Seconded by Bill Russell. Carried. b)MACO Website • Stan has added photos to website. He suggested we put a summary of the seminar on the website. c) Cheque for $5,000.00 - • We must report on the project in June. Work is being done by Saskatchewan Living by Water. They will contact us. e) School Taxes - • Article in Free Press yesterday. Gus prepared a list and will email to all. Pat to check to see who will help. Dave to email Kevin Goertzen (opposition) to look into what government official we should contact. f) Pelican Lake - • Pat to follow up. g) Coalition Activities - • No report. 8.New Business (a) Several people from Anderson Drive have contacted Dave. Dave advised them regarding election procedures and suggested that they get an outside person to assist with the election. (b) Ad in the Free Press Has the wrong telephone and fax numbers. (c) Shirley Nixon - Gary Dunlop moved that we give Shirley Nixon a Certificate and take her out for dinner in June and present her with the certificate. Seconded by Bill Russell. Carried. (d) AGM - Moved by Daryll Hyslop and seconded by Jim Neufeld that the AGM be held on October 21st, 2006 at Place Louis Riel. To think about format and speakers. 9.Directors' Reports Gus Wruck - They have had 4 wheeler problems this spring. There have been sever frost boils this year. Donna Jean Crabb - Meeting this weekend. Water to go on. Water plant to cost $2m and each property to be assessed $2,000. Daryll Hyslop - Reported on membership. He has been unable to locate Gary Goodwin so will delete him if Shirley has no information on him. He attended a meeting at Wooduck Bend. They are in the process of forming an association and he provided copy of constitution. They plan to join MACO. Osprey Crescent group - same information. Wassahow - this weekend. Reeve to attend. The RM had promised to replace the boat launch they lost. Was an agreement to use another boat launch for 1 year. Bill Russell - AGM will be Saturday. Pat Dunlop - Advised if anyone needed labels to advise because MACO has a package for mailing and a small package of the binder spine labels. The AGM for Lundar Beach/Sugar Point Cottage Association will be July 8th at the park again this year instead of in town. Provided update on status of the beacon. Dave Crabb - Lake Winnipeg levels seem to be more stable. Local government pier fixed. Huge rounded boulders protecting pier. Mike Millard, President of Grand Marais Association called today and will be sending cheque for membership, buying insurance. There has been no decision yet by the ministers regarding the Lake Manitoba Review Commission. Gary Dunlop - Advised that there was a rumor that the RM would be seal coating the beach road this year. There is a new maintainer operator. Advised of Oak Point's desire to move to the Coldwell Municipality from St. Laurent and that the area the other side of St. Laurent was looking into moving to the Woodland Municipality. Jim Neufeld - Reported on the Parks Service Fee Committee.
