1. Call to Order
President Neal called the meeting to order at 6:30 P M.

2. Adoption of Agenda
Moved by Lorraine Neal, seconded by Dave Crabb that the agenda is adopted as presented.
Motion carried.

3. Adoption of Minutes of previous meeting of August 17th, 2004
Moved by Lorraine Neal, seconded by Gary Dunlop that the minutes of the previous minutes are adopted with the following correction.  Bill Russell reported that the second last line of the financial statement said minus total and it should have said equals the total.
Motion carried.

4. Financial Report
Discussion ensued as to the financial statement.  Suggestions were made as to ways to improve the report.
Bill moved acceptance of his report, seconded by Pat Dunlop.
Motion Carried.

We can borrow one from the provincial government through Dwight Williamson.  Doug made arrangements, Dave or Shirley to pick it up on Friday, October 22nd.

Deadline to pre register will be October 18th.

Shirley to take pre registrations $15 pre registered $20 at door. Moved by Gary Dunlop, seconded by Pat Dunlop that Registration cost be $15 pre registration, $20 at the door.

8. Directors Reports
Doug Neal
We must look at new people for nominations for executive positions.
Doug also reported that he contacted the Association of Manitoba Municipalities in support of their efforts at trying to have education funding removed from property.  The AMM is forming a committee for this and will keep us informed of their progress.

Doug also reported that he'd been contacted by a reporter for the National Post regarding an article she's writing regarding why people must rent out their properties in order that their taxes can be paid.  The article will be in the National Post this weekend.

Bill Russell
Bill reported that recently while following a sewage truck, he noticed that the sewage hauler from Lac du Bonnet was dumping raw sewage along the road.  Bill tried to report this incident to Conservation without results.  He tried the health unit in Lac du Bonnet who responded that "all the septic trucks do this."  Bill to send us a letter detailing the incident and we'll send it to all appropriate government offices.

Dave Crabb
We have a commitment from Michael Routledge, MD, CCFP, FRCPC, MSc, Medical Officer of Health for Manitoba Health for Water.  Dr. Routledge bridges the gap between Health Minister Dave Chomiak and Conservation Minister Stan Struthers.  Dave has a Power Point presentation that will be available to us.  Dr. Routledge will also give some information to us for our current newsletter and Dave will continue to work on getting articles from these credible sources.  Dave has provided us with a link to the Water Directory.
